Fractures can occur as a result of a fall, but it is also possible to develop small fractures in your spine compression alone or in motion in bending the wrong way. Another problem is that osteoporosis can be present without any symptoms. You only know if you have to get a bone density test. So, while you may lose weight, you may be unknowingly lose bone and may need to go into therapy to rebuild.
